Savannah Bananas Bringing Banana Ball to Rogers Centre in August 2027

The Savannah Bananas will play their first games in Canada at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on August 14 and 15, 2027, with a ticket lottery closing October 31 and the Indianapolis Clowns as the opponent.

The Toronto Blue Jays had a simple message on October 16, 2026: the Savannah Bananas are coming to Rogers Centre. The club’s social accounts posted the news at 2 p.m. ET, pointing fans to bluejays.com/bananas for the details, and confirmed that Banana Ball will make its Canadian debut in Toronto next summer.

The Bananas will play the Indianapolis Clowns at Rogers Centre on Saturday, August 14, 2027 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 15 at 3:00 p.m., according to the team’s event page. It is the first time the touring exhibition has been played in Canada, and the two games anchor a Canadian swing that also includes stops in Winnipeg later in August.

The dates were revealed on the night of October 15 in the 2027 Banana Ball City Selection Show, streamed on ESPN2. The 2027 season is the first for Banana Ball outside the United States: the tour opens internationally in Mexico, with the Bananas facing the Texas Tailgaters in Monterrey on February 5 and 6, and the Party Animals taking on the Loco Beach Coconuts in Tijuana on February 12 and 13, before the schedule moves to Toronto and then to Winnipeg on August 26 and 28. Across the year the league says it will play in 79 stadiums in 74 cities, including 23 Major League Baseball parks and 10 football stadiums, and expects to draw more than four million fans.

For anyone who has not seen it, Banana Ball is less a conventional baseball game than a two-hour variety show. The rulebook drops bunting, enforces a time limit, lets fans catch foul balls for outs and allows batters to steal first base, and it settles a tied game with a one-on-one tiebreaker showdown. The Bananas grew out of Savannah, Georgia’s Grayson Stadium into a viral, Globetrotters-style attraction built on constant crowd interaction, and team owner Jesse Cole has built the show around the idea that every seat should be the best seat.

Getting in will not follow the usual Toronto on-sale. There is no general sale and no queue: instead, fans join a ticket lottery list, which closes on October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The list is random, so signing up early does not help, and a drawing will be held before the event to select fans who then get a set window to buy tickets through the Fans First Tickets platform, with a verification step meant to keep bots and scalpers out. Members of the K Club, the Bananas’ priority program, get early access. The Blue Jays are also offering a Bananas Suite for groups of 14 or more, with pricing starting at $9,500.

The opponent adds a local hook. The Indianapolis Clowns are one of the clubs in the Banana Ball Championship League, and their roster includes former Blue Jays outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.

Toronto is the first of two Canadian cities on the 2027 tour, and the stop lands on a summer weekend in the heart of downtown. The Blue Jays and the Bananas are both framing it as a family event rather than a typical night at the ballpark, which is why the announcement spread quickly through a fanbase that has spent the autumn talking about the offseason rather than the schedule.

The clock that matters right now is short: the lottery list closes at the end of October. Start times for both games are already posted, but pricing and seating details for the Toronto dates have not been announced, and the club is warning fans that tickets offered through social media or third-party resale sites will not be honoured at the gate.
